  • Yes, AP-1414066. I don't believe there was ever an effort to cover up the occurrence of male victims; it was just a matter of discovering how widespread it is. Now that it is a recognized problem, it is (hopefully) receiving equal attention.

  • Although I regard male-targeted sexual abuse as a phenomenon equally as serious as female-targeted sexual abuse, I am not sure that gender makes sexual abuse significantly different between males and females.
